After being introduced to "The Four Loves" by Lorenzo Quinn, Stefan Meylaers decides to make a musical translation of this masterpiece. He writes this composition in his favourite sound: that of the piano. The music consists of the following 4 parts: Agape, Eros, Philia and Storge.
Stefan Meylaers has already received nominations in "Hollywood, New Dehli and Saint-Tropez" with "Haiyan" and "Deep Ocean".
He recorded several CDs including "Cinematic Dreams" and "Stefan
Meylaers, Portrait of a composer (I & II)" and wrote music for important competitions such as the Dexia Classics.Stefan Meylaers is also an engaged artist. Compositions such as "Fukushima", "Haiyan"

Stefan Meylaers followed lessons with a number of well-known pianists such as Alan Weis (Juillard School of Music) and Zoltán Kocsis (Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music). As a soloist he has performed in remarkable concert halls of the world including Carnegie Hall twice. Stefan Meylaers has a broad repertoire in which his own compositions occupy an important place. He is regularly asked as a guest lecturer and juror. He is himself associated with the Stedelijk Conservatorium Hasselt, Belgium.

Stefan Meylaers graduated with great distinction at the Lemmens Institute, specialisation piano and chamber music. He also followed master classes in Hungary (György Ligeti & Zoltan Kocsis) and Switzerland (Roberto Szidon). Stefan Meylaers, musician in heart and soul, can not simply be placed under one name...
He is active as a pianist, composer, teacher and producer and is associated with the Stedelijk Muziekconservatorium in Hasselt and is regularly invited as a guest lecturer and jury member. Various nominations at home and abroad, such as in Hollywood, New Dehli and Saint-Tropez, are on his name. He recorded several CDs including "Cinematic Dreams" and "Stefan Meylaers, Portrait of a composer 1 & 2". He has written music for important competitions such as the Dexia Classics and has given performances worldwide. He has already twice performed, both as composer and solo pianist in Carnegie Hall (unique in Belgian music history) and in the Concert Hall of the United Nations. In 2016, Stefan Meylaers composed the impressive and acclaimed concert spectacle "The Journey, a story about time" performed by more than 150 musicians. Stefan Meylaers is also an engaged artist.
